You could soon be waking up to beautifully radiant skin every day with the Medik8 Crystal Retinal 20 serum, available now from The Skin Clinic Direct website.
Its innovative formula contains the maximum concentration of a patented crystal-encapsulated form of 0.2% Retinaldehyde – the most powerful derivative of Vitamin A available.
This vital component allows the skin to convert Vitamin A to retinoic acid more easily, performing up to 11 times faster than standard retinol for swift and satisfying results.
What are the benefits of Medik8 Crystal Retinal 20 for my skin?
The market-leading Medik8 Crystal Retinal 20 serum boosts collagen production as well as smoothing out uneven texture, with natural antibacterial properties to help your skin heal and prevent blemish breakouts.
Added hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and Vitamin E work to hydrate and repair the skin, while Medik8’s specialist time-release technology ensures the skin experiences minimal irritation as the serum is absorbed overnight.
You can expect noticeably firmer, smoother, and healthier skin with a resurfaced complexion in as little as four weeks when using Medik8 Crystal Retinal 20.
How does Medik8 Crystal Retinal 20 serum work?
So, what’s the science behind this skincare magic? It’s actually quite simple – Vitamin A does a ton of great things for your skin, but it has to be converted to active retinoic acid first, which involves a two-step conversion process for retinol.
Medik8’s unique stabilised formula transforms the serum to retinal, leaving only one step left in the conversion process before your skin can enjoy the rejuvenating properties. This is why it works so much faster than retinol to reduce lines and resurface your complexion.
Since retinal is so powerful, Medik8 has created a slow-releasing formula for its retinal products, which prevents irritation and protects your skin against inflammation.
Important information about Medik8 Crystal Retinal 20
Due to the advanced strength of Retinal in this serum, it’s worth noting that this very popular product is only available to purchase after filling out the online consultation form on our website. This is purely for your own safety, so we can confirm that this is the correct product to use at your current stage.

How to Apply+
The Crystal Retinal range is designed for people more experienced in skincare, who want to step up from standard retinol to a stronger and faster-acting product.
Crystal Retinal 20 is the highest concentration of retinal available from Medik8 and should only be used after acclimatising your skin by using a lower concentration and slowly increasing it over several months.
Even if you have been approved to use Medik8 Crystal Retinal 20, you should do a patch test on a small area of skin before applying the product fully.
When you’re sure that the product is suitable for your skin, follow the instructions below:
1) Cleanse your face thoroughly in the evening before going to bed.
2) Dry your face and apply a small amount of Crystal Retinal 20, about the size of a pea, to the forehead.
3) Gently massage the product into the face and down to the neck.
4) Allow the product to absorb and then apply your night moisturiser as normal.
You should do this 2 nights a week for the first few weeks, then gradually increase the frequency until you’re able to apply the product nightly.
If your skin becomes dry and red or shows any signs of irritation at any stage, you should cut back on usage. You may want to stop altogether and return to Crystal Retinal 10 if you feel that Retinal 20 is too harsh for your skin.
Remember that you should always be wearing sunscreen during the day after using this product at night, as your new skin will be much more sensitive to UV.
