How does Mela-Even Cream work?

The high concentration of oil-soluble Vitamin C, additional antioxidant Vitamin E, and soothing moisturiser glycerin all help this potent serum to repair dull and sun-damaged skin.

Vitamin C

Firstly, Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) penetrates the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen synthesis. Vitamin C also provides potent antioxidant protection from damaging environmental stressors such as oxidative stress and UVA and UVB radiation.

Additionally, Vitamin C reduces pigment production by blocking the tyrosinase enzyme from converting tyrosine to dopaquinone (a precursor to melanin). It also strengthens capillaries close to the surface of the skin, which helps to reduce redness.
